This is a spec piece
Brief
The aim was to create a landing page for a health & wellness product.
The page is designed to convert cold and warm traffic arriving from paid social and search ads, moving readers from problem awareness through to purchase.
Approach
The copy follows a classic direct response structure written in a voice that feels personal rather than promotional.
The page works through four secondary objectives in support of the main goal.
- First, it establishes emotional connection. The reader feels that the brand understands their specific problem, not a generic version of it.
- Second, it builds confidence through ingredient transparency and specificity, addressing the common objection that this is ‘just another supplement’.
- Third, it uses real customer statistics and verbatim testimonials to provide social proof.
- Fourth, it closes with a guarantee and a low-friction call to action that frames the decision as risk-free and the first step as simply making a cup of tea.
The FAQ section serves two purposes: handling the most common pre-purchase objections and reinforcing trust with a tone that is honest and transparent.
Audience
Adults aged 30–60 who have struggled with poor sleep for an extended period, typically months or years.
They are not new to the problem and have already tried other conventional solutions and over-the-counter aids.
Because of these failed attempts, they carry a degree of scepticism toward new products and are sensitive to claims that feel exaggerated or generic.
Tone
Empathetic and conversational throughout to position the brand as someone who genuinely understands what chronic poor sleep feels like. The opening section in particular is written to mirror the reader’s internal experience closely to make them feel seen.
The tone avoids clinical phrases and hard-sell pressure. It is direct when it needs to be but is never cold.
The product’s tea format is treated as a selling point in its own right. The ritual of making a cup of tea is woven into the copy to differentiate RestoreDeep from supplement formats and to give the reader a sensory, aspirational reason to buy beyond the functional benefit.
Takeaway
Writing this landing page reminded me that effective copy starts long before a word is written.
Thorough market research across personal blogs, social media posts, and medical literature helped me understand what this audience was struggling with, and how they talked about it: the exact phrases they used to describe how they feel at midnight when nobody else is awake.
The research also highlighted the deeper struggles underneath the sleeplessness: sadness from not being able to do something everyone else seems to manage effortlessly, the defeat of having tried everything and failed, the anxiety of dreading the one place that should feel relaxing. These were taken directly from the words real sufferers used to describe their nights.
The same research helped me identify a gap in how competitors communicate. That gap became the foundation of the page: lead with recognition, name the struggle before promising the morning.
It was the research into this audience and competitors that gave me the idea to use the tea ritual throughout the whole page as an emotional thread rather than just a product feature.
The copy
How a cup of tea will tell your mind
it’s bedtime — and help you skip
the 3 a.m. doom scrolling. Tonight.
Wake up feeling like you have actually got some sleep. Both your body and your mind rested in sync.

Sleep is the one thing that keeps letting you down. But the good news is, you can change that tonight.
It’s the middle of the night, the house is quiet, but you are wide awake, tossing from one side to another, hoping that if you lie a certain way, you might finally fall asleep.
You stopped blaming the ticking clock or the boiler coming on. You don’t even mind your dog running in their sleep or your other half being soundly asleep next to you, breathing slowly in the dark with that deep, easy rhythm that seems to come so effortlessly to everyone but you.
Your brain keeps you wide awake, replaying the day, writing tomorrow’s to-do list, occasionally throwing in something you saw on social media. Even though you are exhausted, you can’t sleep. You feel defeated.
And the worst part? You went to bed dreading this. Knowing it was coming. That feeling of climbing in and bracing for it, because sleep used to be something that just happened, and now it’s something you have to fight for, every single night. And lose.
“You just need a good night’s sleep,” they say. What they don’t understand is: you’re trying. You have been trying for months. Maybe years. Every. Single. Night. And nothing works. Not the magnesium, not the app, not the special pillow or the sleep spray or the melatonin that knocked you out for a week and then stopped doing anything at all.
You’re not doing it wrong. Your brain has just got stuck — wired and exhausted at the same time — and it doesn’t know how to find its way back.
RestoreDeep was built for exactly this.
A tea blend scientifically designed to help your mind let you sleep.
Deep restorative sleep is more than just falling asleep the minute your head hits the pillow. It’s also keeping your mind calm so you can stay asleep.
Your brain is meant to help you sleep, not sabotage it, and RestoreDeep was formulated by sleep researchers to help your brain do exactly that.
Tells your nervous system the day is over, time to wind down. No more of the wired feeling when your body is exhausted but your brain won’t stop.
Turns down the volume on the chatter running through your mind. Time to stop making to-do lists in bed.
Tells your nervous system it’s time to lie still and relax. No need to toss and turn anymore.
A natural melatonin source that supports your sleep rhythm across the full night, not just at the start. No more browsing the web at 3 a.m.
Gummies go in and get forgotten. A cup of tea is different.
You make it, you hold it, you sit with it, you sip it. That 10-minute ritual — the smell, the taste, and the deliberate slowing down — is itself a signal to your nervous system that the day is done.
RestoreDeep uses that window to deliver its ingredients while your body is already beginning to wind down. The ritual and the unique blend work together. That’s the difference.
“I was ready to dismiss it as just another supplement in a different format. But there’s something about making a cup of tea and sitting quietly for ten minutes that I hadn’t given myself in years. I think that’s part of why it works.” — Rachel D., Secondary school teacher, Bristol
What does it taste like?
RestoreDeep has a warm, naturally sweet flavour. Notes of chamomile and a soft vanilla finish, with a gentle earthiness from the ashwagandha that disappears almost entirely in a hot mug. It doesn’t taste medicinal or like a supplement. It tastes like something you’d make yourself on a cold evening because you wanted to, not because you had to.
Nine in ten customers describe it as a treat they look forward to. Several have told us it’s the first thing they think about when they get ready for bed.
Most customers tell us two things surprise them about our tea.
First is how much they look forward to making it.
Second is that it actually works.
customers report falling asleep faster within the first three nights
report feeling calmer and less anxious — going to bed stops being a worry
skipped the 3 a.m. and slept through till morning
enjoy the new tea ritual, describing it as “a lovely, sweet treat before bed”
Here is what they said.
“I haven’t slept through the night in four years. Seriously — four years. I took RestoreDeep on a Tuesday and woke up Wednesday having slept 7.5 hours straight. I actually cried.”
“I was sceptical. I’ve tried everything. Magnesium, meditation apps, aromatherapy. RestoreDeep is the first thing that’s actually worked, and I’m not groggy the next day either.”
“My sleep tracker now shows I’m hitting deep sleep stages I wasn’t getting before. I feel like a different person. My husband even says I’m nicer to be around. High praise.”
Formulated with Ashwagandha KSM-66®, Magnesium Glycinate, L-Theanine, and Montmorency Cherry Extract — every ingredient chosen for what it does to your sleep cycle, not just what looks good on a label.

Most customers tell us they start falling asleep faster within the first 2–3 nights. Some people notice it on night one, others take a little longer. Either way, you have 60 nights to find out.
Completely safe to take every night, and no, you won’t become dependent on it. RestoreDeep works with your body’s natural sleep systems, not instead of them. There’s no melatonin spike, no sedative effect, nothing that your body learns to rely on or builds tolerance to.
Melatonin only helps you get to sleep. RestoreDeep targets the full sleep cycle, including deep and restorative sleep stages that are responsible for how rested you feel when you wake up.
Then you pay nothing. 60 days, no questions, full refund. You don’t need to explain yourself or jump through hoops — just let us know and we’ll sort it. We offer that because we’re confident in what’s in the cup. But also because you’ve probably already spent money on things that didn’t deliver. We don’t think you should have to take that risk again.
RestoreDeep sits comfortably alongside most supplements. If you are on prescription medication, particularly for mood, anxiety, or blood pressure, we recommend checking with your GP first — just to be safe. We’d rather you ask than wonder.
Tonight, instead of dreading bed, you make a cup of tea.
You’ve spent long enough being tired. Tonight doesn’t have to be another night of staring at the ceiling. Take the first step and make a cup of tea — completely risk-free.
